Dubler either registers wrong note or nothing + instrument issues

I just installed dubler (Macbook Air M2 + dubler mic + ableton10). At first it picked up my notes well, but suddenly the midi went crazy and started pasting the same recording over and over again. I shut down both, and now dubler won’t pick up my notes right unless I’m using the midi capture, which won’t let me hear what I’m actually playing (it plays the dubler synth presets but those are apparently not recorded?). I sing a note, it looks like it’s being picked up, but a completely random note is played. I’m a professional singer w/ very good pitch, and am singing clearly into the mic. I tried calibrating, but since I’m using the dubler mic there’s no info on how to do it. I tried changing the key settings, but even on chromatic or auto, one note goes in and either nothing or another comes out. Also tried different combinations of inbuilt audio/midi out, and nothing worked. If I close the midi capture and switch the channel from dubler to an instrument, I can hear the right instrument but absolutely no notes are registered correctly and I can’t hear previous recordings.

So. I’m having trouble with ableton registering what I’m putting in, and there’s something with the instrument settings on dubler. I want to use the sounds from dubler, but ableton doesn’t register them. On the other hand, when using my regular ableton instruments, I can’t hear what I’m playing until after I’m done recording and not a single note is registered correctly, even though the mic should be calibrated.

Hi,

Can I first check you’ve followed our setup guide on using Dubler with Ableton here - Getting started with Ableton Live

Could you post some screenshots of Dubler’s audio device settings and Ableton’s audio preferences, a video of the issue would be really handy. We can then try spot what the issue is. If you’d prefer you can also email us at help@vochlea.co.uk and we can open a support ticket if you haven’t done so already
